During the 2025 season, I gained hands-on experience working trackside with Pitlane Development in the City Car Cup. The programme gave me the opportunity to develop practical skills in a real race-team environment while also building my confidence and understanding of how a race weekend operates.
Towards the end of the season, I felt confident enough to start approaching other teams and looking for further opportunities. This led to me securing weekend work with KMR in GB4 and WSR in the British Touring Car Championship, allowing me to experience motorsport at an even higher level. I contacted Ollie in November 2024 as I was looking to move into the motorsport industry, but I was having no luck with job applications. Speaking with Ollie gave me confidence in my technical background, and using his advice, I was able to gain lots of experience as a Data Engineer in a few different championships. Ollie also helped me prepare for this role in a 1-2-1 session, ensuring I understood the role and briefing me on different data analysis methods..
This trackside experience helped me to land a placement with Rodin Motorsport supporting their F1 Academy team in preparation for the Qatar Grand Prix, and I’m on course to join West Surrey Racing as a Data Engineer for the 2025 BTCC season! Working with Ollie has been amazing for my career, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds!

I contacted Ollie back in August 2023 after graduating from university studying Motorsport Engineering and feeling totally lost. Throughout our 1-2-1’s it was important to open up about my career fears and anxieties and discuss them with someone who has lots of experience and could relate to mine. I realised I knew exactly what I needed to do but just needed that inspiration and action. From my work experience day, I was asked to come again for the Sunday, and luckily for me, a driver was looking for a race engineer to work with him in the Time Attack UK series, for which I will be doing this year! Additionally, Ollie helped with my work-life balance, whereby I changed jobs to start building go-karts too. I can 100% say, this experience really did help me thrive and it is just the beginning!
