I contacted Ollie first via LinkedIn and spoke to him at Autosport International in trying to see if pitlane development could assist me in finding work experience. In the end I found work experience but used all of the advice and tips that Ollie had told me from his personal experiences of doing the same course as me in the same place, all the experiences Ollie had where he worked and he gave me an insight into what some companies look for in people trying to get a job or work experience.

I was very fortunate to meet Ollie while working as an apprentice at Roborace where he was always happy to share his knowledge and experiences to help me progress and learn. Ollie always had time no matter the question, and was never unapproachable. Over our time working together he was essentially my mentors despite never being asked to be. That for me is what has sets them apart from all others I have met in a workplace, the determination to help others while still being honest and friendly. I know helping others brings him a lot of enjoyment and I know others are going to benefit from his influence.
